Krow Brings Deep Legal Industry Expertise to New Leadership Role

HIKE2 announced today the appointment of Catherine Krow as the company’s new Principal, Legal Advisory Services.

Krow boasts a rare combination of experience as a former law firm partner, legal operations leader and legal technology entrepreneur. With more than two decades in the legal sector—first serving as a trial lawyer before transitioning to a legal technology innovator—Krow’s diverse background will allow her to give HIKE2 clients practical guidance grounded in firsthand industry expertise.

“What drew me to HIKE2 is its belief that technology alone isn’t the answer—real transformation happens when strategy, people, process and technology come together,” Krow explains. “Legal organizations are under increasing pressure to innovate while managing risk and delivering greater value. I am excited to help clients navigate that challenge and to build the foundation for the next generation of legal service delivery.”

The addition of Krow immediately strengthens HIKE2’s advisory capabilities and expands its ability to aid legal organizations as they develop AI strategies, modernize operating models, establish governance frameworks and drive meaningful business transformations.

Most recently, Krow served as Managing Director of Impact Analytics at BigHand (2022-26), where she helped organizations leverage clean, actionable data to improve pricing, efficiency and talent retention. Prior to joining BigHand, she founded Digitory Legal (now BigHand Impact Analytics) in 2015, an award-winning budgeting and data analytics company purpose-built to bridge the divide between the practice and business of law; she also served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Krow spent more than 15 years practicing law. She was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP before becoming a litigation partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where she represented global corporations in complex, high-stakes matters.

Thanks to this vast and varied experience, Krow is a widely recognized voice in legal innovation and operations, bringing credibility across the legal ecosystem to HIKE2, as well as valuable relationships and insights that further strengthen the organization’s position as a trusted advisor to law firms and corporate legal departments.

“The legal industry is at a pivotal moment, and Catherine has spent her career helping organizations navigate change with both vision and pragmatism,” says Michael Crawford, Principal at HIKE2. “She understands the realities facing legal teams because she has lived them—from practicing law to building legal technology solutions. As HIKE2 continues to expand our work in legal innovation, AI and transformation, we are excited to add Cathrine’s expertise, perspective and leadership to the team.”

Krow’s work has been nationally recognized for driving innovation and inclusion through legal technology. Among her industry honors are: LegalTech Award for Championing Diversity in Technology (2024); CLOC Legal Innovation in Operations (2022); InnovAction Award (2021) for data-driven DEI work with Kaiser Permanente; College of Law Practice Management Fellow (2020); ABA Women in Legal Tech Honoree and Fastcase 50 (2019); CloudNOW Top 10 Entrepreneurs in Cloud Innovation (2018) and more.

Krow earned her bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and her J.D. from Georgetown Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a published member of Georgetown Criminal Law Review.

The addition of Krow follows HIKE2’s announcement in May of a strategic partnership with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney to launch a secure, governed AI workspace built specifically for the legal industry.
